The Center for Autobiographic Studies (CAS) is a nonprofit organization located in Pasadena, California. Founded by Tristine Rainer, Ph.D. in early 1997, CAS' goal is to promote knowledge, appreciation, creation and preservation of contemporary autobiographic works for self-understanding, for preserving family and cultural history, and for pooling wisdom gained from diverse individuals' life experiences. The specific purpose of CAS is educational and literary; presenting to the community classes, workshops, lectures, reading and other literary events and publications.
